Slavery and Human Trafficking in Germany Today?

​​Hard to imagine, but true. Even today, people are exploited and abused in Germany. The Broken Hearts Foundation, led by Dr. Cinderella von Dungern, aims to raise awareness of modern slavery. People are encouraged to recognize the signs of abuse and report them.This poster campaign highlights modern slavery in Germany, urging viewers to look closely, recognize injustice, and take action to help.

​The majority of our clothing is produced outside the EU, and we Germans are aware of this. Moreover, we receive daily news about poor working conditions and the exploitation of workers abroad.

Three posters have been created to illustrate the connection between overseas slavery and us as consumers in Germany. They aim to highlight that by buying clothing from low-wage countries, we are contributing to this exploitation.​​​

The posters address three areas of modern slavery: the meat industry, agriculture, and the construction industry, all of which are prevalent in Germany. Here, people are exploited and abused every day.

The aim is to provide viewers with the opportunity to recognize and report suspected cases of human trafficking and slavery in Germany. Everyone should pay close attention, be morally engaged, and show civic courage.
